Associate editor Fiona Clubb receives EGU Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award

13 December 2023

We are delighted to announce that Fiona Clubb, Earth Surface Dynamics (ESurf) associate editor, is the recipient of the EGU Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award 2024 in the Geomorphology (GM) Division.

Fiona is an associate professor at the University of Durham, UK, and has served on the ESurf editorial board for the past 3 years. Fiona's research focuses on developing open-source software for analysing topographic data – an essential element of studying Earth surface processes. These tools and methods have been extensively used by Fiona and other collaborators around the world for extracting channel networks, delineating floodplains and river terraces, and calculating hilltop and hillslope metrics.

It is great to have Fiona as part of the ESurf team and we congratulate her on the award.
